Here at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, we grant wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience through hope, strength and joy. When setting out to grant Sara’s wish of having a 14th birthday party, we knew we wanted to bring a little magic into her favorite food: pizza. In order to exceed her expectations, we made a frantic last minute phone call to JT and team at San Diego Pizza Company to see if they would bring their wood fired pizza oven and allow the party goers to make their own creations. With patience and professionalism, JT got us all organized and came ready to entertain some eager teenagers at Sara’s party. It was a huge hit! Sara and friends loved making their own pizzas, rolling out the dough and eating it fresh out of the oven. San Diego Pizza Company was a highlight of the event and was essential to making Sara’s wish come true. Thank you so much!

Looking for a no stress way to satisfy party guests with amazing pizza and appetizers? Then San Diego Pizza Company is for you. We hired JT Meadows and his company for a corporate event at a private residence last week and JT was a real pleasure to work with. JT quickly responded to all my inquires, his proposal was thorough and his pricing reasonable. In addition to appetizers and salads, we had 4 types of 16″ pies served hot from the oven parked outside of the home. It was quite a sensory treat for our guests as they arrived. And they were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! JT and his crew were professional and friendly, set up and clean-up was immaculate, and when the service time was completed, pizzas were boxed up for our guests to enjoy for the rest of the evening. I threw a party at my house and needed to find someone who could supply the food so I didn’t have to worry about anything but entertainment and drinks!

I decided pizza was a definite crowd pleaser and found SD Pizza online and decided to give them a call. JT was awesome in helping me plan for everything and communication couldn’t have been better. He even emailed me the morning of the event to tell me rain was sadly in the forecast and he would be coming prepared just in case.

I ordered appetizers and 4 different kinds of pizza from JT – he set up tables in the backyard and had everything ready for the party. When his time was almost up, he even asked me for some trays of my own to leave us extra pizza for the rest of the night.

Amazing tasting pizza and great service – will absolutely look forward to using them again!

Thank you to the San Diego Pizza Company who came to the San Diego Center for Children yesterday to make pizza at our Winter Jam Holiday party for our kids and staff. It was a pleasure to work with JT and his team – they are personable, professional and efficient. The pizza was delicious and everyone was so excited to see the wood fire oven at our event.

The best part of all, how JT and his wonderful team were able to handle a rush of 100 people without a problem. They were prepared and kept our food line flowing smoothly – a major plus when you are trying to feed hungry kids and their staff!

I’m from the New York area originally, have been in SD for 30 years and can tell you that the vast majority of pizza on the west coast is substandard. SDPC is one of the exceptions.

JT is always available by phone, went out of his way to review the venue and be prepared, executes clear/complete contracts with simple language and is THAT vendor you always look for, but seldom find.

JT and staff just did my birthday party (Oct 11, 2014). 175 people. The pizza was FANTASTIC, came out faster than I thought humanly possible and SDPC catered to our every need.

The concept of having fresh pies made right on site blew my guests away.

I interviewed and sampled the 6 or 7 other mobile pizza guys in San Diego county and there was always something that didn’t ring true about each of them. But there were no issues with JT’s team, from start to finish.

You cannot go wrong with SD Pizza Company.

Had a party at our house for 60 people and hired SDPC. JT and his staff were amazing. If you want to have a party catered and not have to worry about ANY details once your guests arrive, hire SDPC!!

It was so great that we could enjoy hanging out with friends and family and pizza was ready at exactly the time I requested. The table was set up with pizzas and, it was never empty of selection. Truly a care free party for my husband and I.

Jt left all the extra pizzas for snacking later.  Best of all, the pizza was amazing! Every guest thought it was the one of the best pizzas they had ever had. The crust was so great! We will definitely share SDPC with others for future parties.

We hired [San Diego Pizza Company] for my son’s birthday party last weekend. We had 40 guests and too many kids to count. If SDPC was public, I would buy their stock. Here’s why:

1. JT picked up the phone every time I called him. He was super professional, helpful and direct. My kind of guy.

2. The concept of a guy making hot and fresh pizzas in an actual oven in my driveway was so fun. Very different, very cool. Every person commented on how unique it was.

3. JT brought another staff member to assist. They worked as a team, quickly ran pizzas from the front of the house to the buffet, and offered a “never ending” supply of hot and yummy pizza.

4. Their set-up is legit. Plates, napkins, forks/knives, hot peppers, serving knives, etc.

5. The pizza is great! But I have to admit, even better than the pizza, their pork sliders (did I tell you I’m a vegetarian?), made with some random fried onion rings mixed in, were out of this world!! I ate two in about 3 minutes before I realized what I was doing.

If you don’t book JT now, be prepared for a very long waiting time coming soon. He is going to be in high demand if he’s not already.

p.s. JT is a sweetheart. Funny, smart, and great at his craft. My husband and I are so impressed.

I’ve divided 15 years of living between Chicago, New York and New Jersey – I feel I have earned the right to say I am a sound source when it comes to good pizza. San Diego Pizza Company… it’s not good pizza, sorry. It’s OUTSTANDING pizza!!!!!! Fresh is when it comes right out of the oven and straight to your plate, and because they’re mobile that’s what you get with these guys and gals. There’s no time for it to sit around under heating lamps getting limp while it waits to be eaten or delivered. As soon as it’s ready it’s in your hands begging to be devoured. Brick oven style pizza is my favorite and just like my beloved brick oven restuarant in NJ, SDPC’s slices come out crisp and delicious. You may be thinking, “But wait, isn’t this a mobile oven??” Why yes… YES IT IS!!  :)))   I look forward to the day I have an event I can hire them to handle but until then… bring on the margherita and BBQ chicken pizzas!!!!

This is by far the best wood fired pizza I’ve ever had. I’m a dough snob. It has to be not too thick, not too thin, and cooked like a French baguette – lightly crisp on the outside with an almost buttery texture on the inside. These guys have perfected this art amazingly. Wow! Top quality ingredients you can taste with the first bite. My second piece was a slice of BBQ chicken, which I’m not usually fond of. Again with the WOW! Best I’ve ever had.
